Wallpaper making a comeback????

I'm sure by now y'all know that I'm getting my house ready to put on the market..well maybe you don't! But I am, way too much house for me. Even though Skooter's still here its just too much to take care of and I'm really tired of all the upkeep! Anyhoo....I'm trying to get it ready and its been several years since its been painted so...nothing like a fresh coat of paint to freshen things up and besides..I want it looking all cutesy and stuff! So in deciding on what I want to do with it and looking around at what everyone else is doing...I've run across lots of wallpaper lately. Some of its really cute and different. I like different, I like whimsical...I like that wow factor!! But is that something that I'll get tired of?! I mean it maybe great today but tomorrow I may not be feeling whimsical! Here's a sampling of something's that I've found! What do you think...to wallpaper or not to wallpaper???????

Pink for October!!!

We all should know by now that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! I doubt there's anyone out there that hasn't been affected by this disease. I know I have, besides having friends that have survived it, I have a cousin that did not...a male cousin! Most of us don't think about that one do we?! He fought a brave battle for 6 years and at a time when it was still somewhat of a rarity for men to have it. Makes my heart heavy to this day!! So in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness and in loving memory of Wayne McCaslin we will celebrate pink everyday of October!!!

First of all, let me apologize for the very long disappearing act! I know...my bad!! No blogger should ever be gone that long from home and I do so apologize. Another Great DIY!!!

Here's another great little DIY project done by my friend Connie Conaway! I don't know about the rest of you out there but we have a lotta those little of shed's down here in good ole East Texas! What a great and creative idea that can be accomplished in one day and she did it all by her little ole lonesome! I think it goes perfectly with her current setting in the backyard, don't you? Way to go Connie!!! Anybody else got anything like that they'd like to share?? Come on now...don't be shy!!!

Rue is out!!!!

The new online Rue magazine is out and it is lovely!!! It features another one of my favorite bloggers, Bailey from Peppermint Bliss and her home which she fondly refers to as Clifford, the big red house! I love her take on traditional with a touch of whimsy in every room! She is just so clever...who would have thought to paint the window trim in THAT color...or hang a picture over a window, which I love by the way. She has several items I'm coveting right now! 1) that fabulous huge picture that she and her husband are sitting in front of. 2) those darling little lamps on the dressing table!! She's even got me liking wallpaper again...what's that about?! Actually there is just way too much to mention, so we'll just leave it with...I wanna live there(whiney, pouty voice)!! She is just the cutest little thing and I enjoyed every detail of it! Me, you and a wiener!!!! I know, your thinking what?? I'm getting to that, I promise I have a point! You know what I love about being young and just starting out, not to mention broke? Its that you have to be creative. Come on, I know you have to remember those days. I miss them and I am truly inspired by some of what I see out there. Bri over at Me, you and a wiener is officially the queen of DIY's! She can take something that is nothing and turn it into something fabulous. Makes me wonder why you would ever want to pay full price for something just for a name when you can do the same thing Bri does! Talk about a Chic Streak!! Here are a few of my fav's! She is my kinda girl!!! Do we have any DIYer's out there? If so I want to hear from you, what's your latest project?
